Overview

Dell Children’s Medical Center is the region’s provider of pediatric hospital care. Admitting hundreds of children every day, this hospital has received nationwide praise for the quality of its care. Dell Children’s relies on the strength of community donations, and every year they host their fundraiser gala to attract a large portion of their charitable support.

Execution

I’ve been honored to create the visual content for their annual themed fundraising galas from 2015 to 2017. During my time working on these events, I’ve served as lead animator and content director of the comprehensive motion graphic packages our team created.

For most of the year preceding the event, I’ve worked closely with the hospital, event partners, and guest chair to plan the visual style for this vital evening. Every year, the canvases have changed too, so our motion graphics have been mapped to jumbo LED screens, custom fabricated structures, and 120 foot-wide walls.

Our vision starts small, with mood boards to capture our core visual concepts, and then evolve into comps, animation samples, and polished final videos. Production requires close coordination with our technology partners in order to build custom templates, determine rendering schedules, and communicate a cohesive run of show.

Outcome

Dell Children’s celebrates the generosity of hundreds of its financial partners at their annual gala. In the three years I’ve been a part of this cause, we’ve raised over 4 million dollars for the hospital.
